The talent in us all

I love going to the craft store for supplies and inspiration.  Sometime just looking around I can come up with an idea id like to try. I love getting new brushes and paint and going home to use them. Its a great feeling making something new that is unique that came from your mind. I feel sorry for people when they tell me they have no creative talents. I believe that everyone does. Not in the same way of course but their own. People look at my work .. my art..  and wish they had what I do. But having the ability to paint and draw doesn't mean u an talented in other places.  You can be creative in many parts of life even if your just a great host! Now I will say that I do wish I could paint better or was able to do other crafty things but I am thankful for the talent I do have. I think that what makes me different from those who look at me aand say ok wish I could do something creative is that I know what my talent is. It may take your whole life to realize your talent and Im very glad I know mine now and that I am able to try it out by selling my art. My hope is that I will be successful and that I can share my gifts with others. I also hope that people stop saying I wish I could do that and say... I wonder what I could do!? Try a new project it might come out great! I hope I never loose the drive to try new things. I hope this is encouraging to put yourself out there ... lets see what your hiding!

Where it started

This is my first blog and I am just going to share a little about myself and why I am here.
I have always wanted a blog. I think its is good to put your thought down on paper or computer. If you just think thougts they really have no meaning. Like many things in life. So I am excited to get started. I also want to blog to help get my new business out there and to meet some new people interested in similar things.
I am very creative and I am always having new ideas for my shop, home, gifts... ect. I love creating new things even just for myself, but mostly for others. I love painting with bright beautiful colors that make you want to smile.
I started hand painting glass about a year ago. I had always wanted to try it but had never taken the time. I finally bought my first set of wine glasses, some paint and brushes last Christmas and thought I would make some gifts instead buying them that year. It took off from there, and now I cant stop! I have expaned to pitchers and vases and now I am trying some containers and chalkboard paint!
When we were kids I always made family and friends gift and just the joy on their faces when they know YOU made that just for THEM is amazing. It is a great feeling knowing they will cherish it forever. I want to share that feeling with the world!
I started Starr Glass because of that feeling. I create gifts and items you and your family and friends will love that come from the heart.
Custom items are my favorite. I have so much fun taking someones idea and truning it into a one of kind piece. The respones have been awesome and its an amazing feeling knowing that I help make someone smile.(or in some cases cry.) It can also be very emotional. I made breas cancer wine glasses for a friend whos aunt has breast cancer. She loved the glasses so much she cried. I also did a custom vase for someones mother for mothers day. He said he never gets her anything and she was so touched she cried. I brings me joy knowing I can touch peoples lives through my art and I cant wait to see where it takes me.
I know God has plans for me and I thank him everyday for my talents! I hope everyone enjoys my art too!
